Research Interest

Understanding chemical phenomena using Statistical and Quantum Mechanics

We have been interested in the theoretical description of chemical phenomena. Our research interests have been rather varied and include quantum chemical calculations, chemical reaction dynamics, chemical applications of density functional theory, theory of electron transfer reactions, statistical mechanics and dynamics of polymers, scanning tunneling microscopy, design and dynamics nanodevices and theoretical biophysical chemistry.

Some of my research topics includes:

  • Coherences in Photosynthesis and Quantum Biology
  • Energy transfer in nano sized systems
  • Anomalous diffusion
  • Polymers: equilibrium and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics
  • Molecular Devices, Nanotechnology and Surfaces
  • Molecular Ratchets
  • Biophysical Chemistry
  • Theoretical Electrochemistry
  • Path Integrals
  • Density functional theory
  • Chemical Dynamics (only partly constructed)
