Moved in June 1997 to the Department of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, IISc, Bangalore and became a Full Professor in 2009


Research Interests:

Experimental physical chemistry, Molecular and van der Waals spectroscopy, chemical kinetics and dynamics, hydrogen bonding and other intermolecular interactions, shock wave interactions with molecules and materials.


Research Publications:

Have given numerous plenary, key note and invited lectures all over India and many countries in the world including U.S.A, U.K, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Russia, Czech Republic, China, Singapore and South Korea. Born to Mr. G. Elangannan and Mrs. E. Chellammal on 11th May, 1961 in Madurai, India.


Married to Ms. Thenmozhi, M. S. (Computer Science) and have two daughters, Bharathi (born 1994) and Indumathi (born 1996).
