Dear Professor Arunan,

Many thanks for ther report of your Working Party.

I must admit--the recommendations look very reasonable to me,

Subject: [SPECTROSCOPY-GROUP] Hydrogen bond

Dear All,

(My apologies in case you had received it through the Molecular-Dynamics-Group)

I initiated a world-wide effort through IUPAC to propose a new definition
for hydrogen bonding which would take into account all the experimental
and theoretical results available over the last century. Recently, the task
group formed by IUPAC has submitted its' recommendation and has
also produced a technical report. IUPAC has put these documents
on its website to enable anyone interested in hydrogen bonding to send
comments. The link to IUPAC website is given below:
http://www.iupac.org/web/nt/2010-10-25_hydrogen_bond
Both recommendation and technical report can be downloaded from
this website. Comments are welcome.
regards,
Arunan.
